Living with Purpose

A Life Well Lived

What is life?

Why are we here?

What’s our purpose?

Life? It is more than happiness. Since the dawn of time, people have asked – ‘What is the meaning of life?’ While that question may not ever be answered, one thing is true: finding your own meaning increases your sense of purpose – and it’s entirely up to you what meaning is, it is looking deeper into yourself, your values, what is important to you, and determining what you want your life to stand for.

HOW DO I LIVE?

Live according to God’s purpose. Understand that you were made to fulfill God’s dream.

God saved us because he had a plan. Our purpose is to know Him as we conform into His image.
For whom he did foreknow, he also did PREDESTINATE to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren.
Romans 8:29
So His plan for Mankind must automatically become our purpose.
God needs a house, and his dream house istaking over Man’s soul completely until Man and God become One.
Thus saith the LORD, The heaven is my throne, and the earth is my footstool: where is the HOUSE that ye build unto me? and where is the place of MY REST?
For all those things hath mine hand made, and all those things have been, saith the LORD: BUT TO THIS MAN WILL I LOOK, even to him that is poor and of a contrite spirit, and trembleth at my word.
Isaiah 66:1-2
If God based our purpose on what we could do, then this would be unjust of God.
Why?
Because God judges our heart and motives above everything else. So we cannot please God through the external alone.
I the LORD search the heart, I try the reins, even to give every man according to his ways, and according to the fruit of his doings.
Jeremiah 17:10
A stay at home mum will be despised above the philanthropist who has built foundations for the homeless.
Some people may have an ailment that hinders them from preaching the gospel, but their lives will live out the Christ life.
Talking about Jesus doesn’t necessarily translate to loving God. People seek God and preach for different reasons.
Some even live sinful lifestyles while preaching. This means preaching can never be our purpose as believers.
The former, however, preach Christ out of selfish ambition, not sincerely, supposing they can add to the distress of my chains. What, then, is the issue? Just this: that in every way, whether by false motives or true, Christ is preached. And in this I rejoice. Yes, and I will continue to rejoice
Philippians 1:16-18

Be More Intentional With Your Loved Ones

Spending time with your loved ones is important not only because it will benefit your relationships with them, but also because your relationships with your children and partner are unique strengths. Only you can parent (not babysit) your own children in your unique way; for example, you might be able to foster your kids’ love of the outdoors because you also love the outdoors, whereas your partner can’t foster that passion in the same way because they prefer being inside. And only you can invest time in your partnership.

Doing what we love

What we most desire to accomplish (or become) affects our lives in very important ways. It impacts what we think about. And it changes the way we spend our time, our money, and our energy. In short, it brings definition to the lives that we live. Knowing what you want in life is the first step towards reaching what happiness looks like to you. It’s crucial to take time to sit with ourselves and get clear on our wants and needs. When we learn to say “yes” when we mean yes and “no” when we mean no based on our needs, we begin to build our lives based on our non-negotiables. It might sound silly, but as soon as I started to define things that I would and would not negotiate on, I not only got clearer on what I need for my happiness, but I also began living my life based on what is truly important to me.

Meditate, Learn, Explore

See basically meditation in itself is not to be done for a reason or to achieve something. So if you try hard and hard to find purpose or relaxation or anything for that matter means you have not meditated properly. The process and function of meditation is to let go. You need to let go off the the worries, the present, the future, the past, and be one with the now in this exact moment. This is not a philosophical answer. The meditative state but it’s the only truest fact which you must feel more and more for which we do meditation for. And that gives you a better understanding of your self. This is a time consuming and a life long process which helps you to see all the connection of the dots.

Meditation is not only a cure but a prevention too. I would rather say, instead of finding the meaning of life(which is an infinitely difficult question) it is better to know yourself. And in the process of meditation one learns to know himself/herself. Then life is easily maleable to the knowledge present with you and hence whatever you do is with clarity and naturally some meaning. Cheers meditating.

Spend Time with yourself!

In solitude, another person does not influence your daily routine, thoughts, and actions. You don’t have to change your plans when you’re alone because a significant other has something else in mind. You can eat dessert before dinner every day of the week without anyone criticizing you. You can make decisions on a whim without notifying anyone.

Instead of viewing this solitude as negativity, consider focusing on improving an aspect of yourself or your life that you’ve wanted to work on. Instead of putting all your energy and time into another person, you can put this effort into improving yourself and making your own life more rewarding. This process could involve your health, finances, spirituality, or career. You can visualize where you want to be five, ten, or fifteen years from now and begin working toward that reality.

Here are some quotes and reminders for you!😉
